Like Us on FacebookDear Parents and Carers, It is wonderful to send an email with exciting and not COVID- 19 focused news. After 15 years of sweat, toil, frustration and disbelief, Chris Taylor has just confirmed that Field 525 has been passed by the powers that be in the Government of Jersey. Soon, St John's School will have access to its own field for sport, play, science investigations, etc. Parents involved with fighting relentlessly for the field, have also had this news confirmed. What a wonderful beginning to our weekend. Tonight, I will open that bottle of bubbly, that I have been saving for a special occasion. We will be sending Olivia and Max to each class to tell them the news. They spoke so clearly and passionately at the Inquiry and emphasised the importance of pupil voice. I am very grateful to our parents who have stood beside this project all the way through and fought our corner, often experiencing frustrating meetings and unexpected delay. I am grateful to Chris Taylor and the support of the Parish, in helping St John's School achieve this dream. Have a good weekend, Trudie De La Haye | Head Teacher
