St John's School

Covid Development in School

We like to keep everyone informed of Covid developments in school.

Currently we have 4 members of staff off . The number of confirmed pupils at St John is still relatively low however we are seeing an increase in numbers over the last few days. On top of this, we have some classes with pupils absent with headaches, temperatures, coughs and tummy bugs. Please can we ask you to complete lateral flow tests daily, in order to keep us all as safe as possible.

Mrs De La Haye and myself are working very hard behind the scenes, to not close classes and ensure that the school is running as normally as possible.

All KS2 classes will be given spelling homework, however it will be very basic this week and feedback and marking may be different due to staffing issues. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your understanding.

We are so grateful to staff who have stepped in to cover classes, allowing us to keep year groups open.

We wanted to keep you in the loop concerning our situation here at St John’s.

Kind regards

Stuart Pallant | Deputy Headteacher
